This series of podcasts has been brought to you by SICK! Digital as part of SICK! Festival 2022.
Presented by Marketing and Communications Officer, Anne Nwakalor, this episode is an interview with Theatre-Maker and Performer, Toni-Dee Paul. Toni has worked on numerous projects with us and is currently our Artist in Residence in the Moston community.
Toni-Dee Paul is a Freelance Theatre-Maker, Writer and Performance Artist spoken word artist. Occasionally she is a workshop leader, facilitator and thinker-in-the-room collaborating with other artists. Their current body of work- made with ‘infectious warmth’ (Exeunt)- is a series of solo performances and installations exploring identity politics around otherness.
In 2017, we presented Toni-Dee’s performance ‘My Fathers Kitchen’, exploring home-cooked food and family trees, whilst delving into the stories that unfolded in her fathers kitchen.
