SAFE

The SICK! Festival Ambassadors, a group of young people from North Manchester, lend their voices to lead this large-scale public art installation created in collaboration with artists Ria Righteous and Rachel Shore and found in the heart of the community.

The piece celebrates the diversity within the area, it’s history and reflects the people that live there, including their images.

It takes on the idea of ‘safety’ in the area, looking at what it means to feel safe or not safe, what can cause fear and what that might look like in the lives of people in Moston, Harpurhey and Charlestown. Massive thank you to M3 Industries for their support on the build.
