North West Theatre Arts Company present RENT for a week during SICK! Festival 2024. A story revolving around a group of struggling artists in the late 1980’s/90’s who come together as a chosen family, chasing their dreams while experiencing poverty in New York City’s East Village, during the HIV/AIDS crisis. The musical explores understanding, acceptance and friendship, challenging key themes including homelessness, gentrification, love and loss. Creating a space for us to reflect on health and society. How much has changed today, and how much remains the same.
